Legislative Session Wrap-Up

Texas Legislature (3).png

Join the Austin Monitor, Glasshouse Policy, Leadership Austin, and Austin Tech Alliance as we break down the most recent legislative session and learn how these new laws will impact Texans.

With the help of guest speakers, we will be deep diving into the nuances of school finance, property taxes, economic development, elections, and disaster management.

The following people will be giving talks throughout the event:

  • Austin City Council Member, Jimmy Flannigan will be speaking about property taxes and municipal centered legislation.

  • Edna Ramon Butts, J.D. Director, Intergovernmental Relations & Policy Oversight Austin Independent School District, will be covering all things school finance.

  • Daniela Rojas from Jolt, a non-profit organization that increases the civic participation of Latinos in Texas, will be breaking down elections-related legislation.

  • Bee Moorehead, executive director of Texas Impact, will be discussing disaster management.

In addition, legislative staffers including Adrianne Fore, Cheif of Staff to Rep. Charles "Doc" Anderson and Chelsea O'Hara, Chief of Staff to Rep. Gina Hinojosa, will be there to answer your questions!
